Who we are

Miracle at Georgia Tech is the Institute's largest student-run philanthropic organization. We're part of the national Dance Marathon movement, which has raised more than $350 million for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals since 1991. We spend the whole year fundraising, organizing, and building a community that reaches across campus and across Atlanta, all of it pointed at one goal.

Three quarters of everything we raise goes to the Heart Center at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. That money supports life-saving treatments, innovative research, and the specialized care that kids with heart conditions depend on. For the families who spend months there, Children's is more than a hospital. It's where the hardest days of their lives are met with expertise and steadiness.

The remaining quarter funds Camp Braveheart, a medically supervised summer camp built for children with heart conditions. Campers get the ordinary rituals of summer in a place equipped for their medical needs: the games, the cabins, the friendships. They go home with confidence and independence that lasts long after the week ends.

All of it builds toward Dance Marathon, the event our year is organized around. It's a celebration of what students raised together, and of the Miracle Families whose stories are the reason any of it happens.
